Interest areas

Bio-geochemical influences on the fate and transport of environmental contaminants in aqueous systems; emerging contaminants and other types of emerging environmental issues. Examples of current projects include developing a better understanding of the distribution of perfluorinated compounds (PFCs) in Minnesota’s environments (http://www.pca.state.mn.us/hot/pfc.html), and assessing the effect of increased, concentrated infiltration of stormwater runoff on ground water chemistry.
