Grain Storage Tips Available

Bill Wilcke, Minnesota Extension Engineer

Grain Storage Tips: Factors and Formulas for Crop Drying, Storage and Handling, by William Wilcke, University of Minnesota Extension Engineer, and Gary Wyatt, University of Minnesota Regional Extension Educator, is a new, two-page fact sheet that is available via the internet. The fact sheet includes:

  • General tips for successful grain storage;
  • Recommendations on storage moisture, temperature, and airflow;
  • Tables of basic grain properties;
  • Key formulas that are useful in managing stored grain; and
  • References to grain storage publications and computer programs.
