Objective

The objective of this project is to evaluate fibrous byproducts/residues for making bio-polyols, a feedstock for biodegradable polymers.

Need or Impact

This project screens a wide range of biomass available in Minnesota and explores the possibility of making biomaterials and biofuels. The project will increase the utilization of Minnesota biomass, which will in turn enhance economic development in rural Minnesota.
