Objective
The objective of this study was to measure the effect of
a geotextile cover on the emission of odor, hydrogen sulfide
(H2S), ammonia (NH3), and volatile organic compounds (VOC)
from manure storage ponds.
Need or Impact
This research project (MIN-12-062) seeks to assess the impact
of manure on water and air quality through various sub-projects,
and to develop processes and techniques to reduce adverse
impacts and maximize the benefits from manure.
Project Status
Completed.
