Objective

To provide targeted, research-based education and consultation on issues of product liability protection and implementation of the safety hierarchy on new product design, applications, and adaptations.

Need or Impact

Concerns about safety, injury prevention, and product liability sometimes limit advancements in new technology. We have developed research-based technical information for various audiences including inventors, engineers, and rehabilitation professionals to guide efforts in the development and application of new technologies and processes. This information has been in high demand, and has been presented in conferences, workshops, and via direct personal consultation.
