In Memoriam: Kenneth Jordan, Mildred Bates

Former faculty member Dr. Kenneth Jordan, Sr. died November 29, 2005, at the age of 75. Dr. Jordan was a faculty member in the Biosystems and Agricultural Engineering Department at the University of Minnesota from 1968 to 1984. He was a graduate of Purdue University earning his B.S. (1952) and M.S. (1956) in Agricultural Engineering and his Ph.D. in 1959. He was on the faculty at North Carolina State University before joining the Department of Agricultural Engineering at the University of Minnesota as a professor in 1968. Dr. Jordan joined the Department of Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering at the University of Arizona in Tucson in 1986. Ken is survived by his wife Phyllis and numerous children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, many of whom live in and around Tucson.

Also noted: Mildred Bates, wife of Professor Emeritus Donald Bates, passed away on December 11, 2005. Don Bates died in 1996.
