Advisory Committee Meets

The department advisory committee provides valuable input that helps us guide our programs and activities. This year the committee met on February 23, 2001, the date selected by the University of Minnesota to officially celebrate the University’s sesquicentennial. The discussion centered on methods to assess outcomes defined for graduates of our program as part of the new processes involved with ABET (Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology) accreditation. The advisory committee provided valuable input in several areas including development of a questionnaire to gain feedback from employers of our graduates. The ABET review of engineering programs at the University of Minnesota, which occurs every six years, took place in early December.

In addition to the attending members, pictured below, Robin (Mielke) Ney, BAE 1991, Cargill-Dow, and Enrique Rotstein, Pillsbury, make up the committee.

Advisory Committee members: Ted Bather (BAE 1980, AMEC), Paul Josephson (BAE 1974, MS 1976, Wenck Associates), Murray Madsen (BAE 1973, John Deere), John Brach (NRCS) Dan Peterson (BAE 1970, MS 1972, Toro), Mitch Voehl (BAE 1983, MS 1986, Summit Analysis).
