Department News Larry Jacobson has been promoted to full professor. Brad Hansen and Judy Weicherding received Outstanding Civil Service Awards for 1999-2000. Susan Wood has joined the department as a research associate with the odor team. Susan received her PhD from Penn State in the area of manure odor control using constructed wetlands. She replaces Huiqing Guo, who has joined the faculty of the Agricultural and Bioresources Engineering Department at the University of Saskatechewan. Jose Bicudo has accepted a faculty position in the Department of Biosystems and Agricultural Engineering at the University of Kentucky. Barb Oliver has joined the department as a principal secretary. Christy McKibben has joined the department as a principal secretary. She replaces Andrea Jahn, who left in August. In addition to his other responsibilities, Professor Bill Wilcke has been named Interim Director of the Minnesota Institute for Sustainable Agriculture.
