Special thanks are due to two recent alumni, Elizabeth Burt (BBAE 1996) and Nicole Wagner (BBAE 1996), who organized Biosystems and Agricultural Engineering Homecoming activities in conjunction with the University Homecoming on October 19. We hope this is the start of a new tradition that will bring alumni back to campus to interact with students and faculty. The department sponsored an open house in the building so that interested alumni and other campus visitors could drop in to tour the facilities and find out about some of the current teaching, research, and outreach programs. Then it was on to a tail-gate lunch at the Metrodome in Minneapolis. The Gophers lost to Michigan State--but that didn't dampen the spirits of the attendees, who agreed that it was a good opportunity to renew acquaintances and make some new ones.
The University of Minnesota is an equal opportunity educator and employer.
