Environmental and Ecological Engineering

EEEfinal
Environmental and Ecological Engineers address the many environmental and natural resource challenges that affect air, soil, and water quality.

As the world’s demand for materials, food, and energy grows, it will be environmental and ecological engineers who ensure that plans and practices are in place to meet that demand while protecting and enhancing the environment.

Environmental and Ecological engineering is a specialization within the bioproducts and biosystems engineering major, offered through the Institute of Technology (IT), in association with the College of Food, Agricultural, and Natural Resource Sciences (CFANS).

The curriculum covers all aspects of the design process, including communication, teamwork, economics, ethics, and safety. You’ll use modern tools and technologies, ranging from sensors and other instrumentation to AutoCAD and computational techniques.

As a freshman you may enroll in bioproducts and Biosystems engineering in the Institute of Technology (IT), or you can enter the College of Food, Agricultural, and Natural Resource Sciences (CFANS) as a pre-bioproducts and biosystems engineering major and then transfer to IT at the start of your junior year.
