Industry Advisory Council

The Department has a long history and tradition of close partnership with external stakeholders.

The purpose of the BBE Advisory Council is to provide advice, counsel and support to the educational and research programs in the Department of Bioproducts and Biosystems Engineering (BBE) and help them to be successful and achieve their vision.

The membership of the council consists of organizations, government agencies, industries and individuals. These members are actively engaged in or interested in the broad areas of bioproducts and biosystems and are interested in supporting the educational and research mission of the department.

Membership includes manufacturers, processors, and appliers of end-use bioproducts, raw material suppliers, and engineering groups. The Council also is populated by workers in agricultural and biological system management and development and in food and natural resources. Involved also are those simply dedicated to overall enhancement of the environment. Some of our other members are simply supporters of the purposes and activities of the Council.
